DONATIONS – and how to make them!
You can make donations on-line to all the charities / non-profits.
In all cases, your donation will be administered by organisations who specialise in ensuring your money is credited to the charity of your choice.
The Canadian Charity inform us they will acknowledge your donation and provide you with the appropriate paperwork for your personal tax matters.
The Sidran Institute in the United States will also accept a donation from you on-line.
The British charity will automatically assume you are a UK income tax-payer and claim an extra 28% of your donation from H.M. Revenue & Customs under the Gift Aid Scheme.
The non-profits are now monitoring donations they hope to receive in support of the TRIUMPH TRANS-AMERICA CHARITY DRIVE, so whichever organisation you choose to support, will you please be kind enough to state on your donation you have made a contribution for the charity drive?
Your on-line donation will NOT, repeat NOT be set aside by the chosen charity to help with the expenses of the TRIUMPH TRANS-AMERICA CHARITY DRIVE. Below are the three charities/non-profits involved and how you navigate to their respective on-line donation ‘buttons.’
CANADA – Anxiety Disorders Association of Canada. You’ll see the DONATE NOW button on the top right side of the page. Click on that button and this will take you straight to www.canadahelps.org
UNITED KINGDOM – Assist Trauma Care. On the Home page, you’ll see the Main Menu in the top right corner with Donations at the bottom of the tick-box. Click on donations and scroll to the bottom of the new page and then click on the URL which reads www.justgiving.com/assisttrauma/supportus
UNITED STATES – The Sidran Institute. On opening the Home Page, scroll to its base and on the blue crossbar on the page footer is a button, “Make a Donation.” Click on this button to go to the automated donation system. The Sidran Institute is a fully accredited 501(c)(3) non-profit for your personal tax affairs.

Over the last few weeks of planning and endless emails back and forth, there have been an increasing number of occasions when I (John) have been amazed at the generosity of strangers. I had another amazing email earlier this week that HAS to go Front Page!
Two kind (but anonymous) donors have pledged RED RIVER TRIUMPH CLUB in Texas US$100 each. That’s generous in itself but RRT have taken it several steps further. The Club committee has most generously agreed to ‘match fund’ those two donations and the club is looking for an extra $300 from anywhere – to bring the total to $500. Assuming this objective is reached, the club has pledged its willingness to make another $500 available to bring the total to $1000!!!!! Having done that, it’s the club’s intention to use the funds to buy a Visa card with that value credited to it to help John with various out-of-pocket expenses to do with the trip itself.
This kindness is truly mind-boggling and I cannot thank RED RIVER TRIUMPH enough for being so helpful and imaginative.
